Alonso Perez (North Las Vegas Police Department) Authorities in Nevada searched Sunday for a murder suspect who escaped police custody after being placed in an interview room. The Las Vegas Review-Joual reported that Alonso Perez, 25, was arrested by North Las Vegas police Friday at around 10 a.m. in coection with an Aug. 27 murder. He was then transferred to the department’s detective bureau and was placed in an interview room still handcuffed. People from the Florida Panhandle down to the Tampa area braced Thursday for Hurricane Hermine, as it lashes the area with strong winds and potentially dangerous storm surge.
