The three-year-old Alteative for Germany, or AfD, won 21 to 22 percent of votes in the election for the state legislature in Mecklenburg-Weste Pomerania, according to projections for ARD and ZDF television based on exit polls and partial counting.   Authorities in Northe Califoia have threatened to stop working San Francisco 49ers games in response to Colin Kaepeick sitting during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and racial injustice. In a letter obtained by KNTV, the Santa Clara police union told the 49ers organization that officers wouldn’t work at the stadium if it doesn’t “take action” against Kaepeick over his protest. The station noted that about 70 Santa Clara police officers work eight home games per year. "The board of directors of the Santa Clara Police Officer's Association has a duty to protect its members and work to make all of their workings environments free of harassing behavior,” the letter added. Kaepeick’s decision to sit for the national anthem and to wear socks in practice depicting pigs as cops has drawn much scrutiny from the Santa Clara officers.   President Obama has extended the U.S. military’s combat mission in Libya for another month at the request of senior military leaders, two defense officials with knowledge of the order told Fox News.   The decision keeps two U.S. Navy warships off the coast of Libya to continue striking ISIS and assist Libyan ground forces fighting the terror group in the coastal city of Sirte. One of the U.S. warships had been scheduled to go to the Persian Gulf in September to begin airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq and Syria and keep an eye on Iran, a week after four provocations between Iranian gunboats and U.S. Navy ships -- one of which resulted in waing shots being fired by a U.S. warship. The other, a U.S. Navy destroyer, was supposed to head to the Black Sea near Russia next month. Mountaineering Department official Gyanendra Shrestha said the govement has canceled the climbing certificates issued to Indian citizens Dinesh and Tarakeshwari Rathod and banned them from climbing any mountain in the Himalayan nation for 10 years. They had claimed they scaled the 29,035-foot peak in May and the govement issued them climbing certificates based on the photographs. Their declaration was disputed by fellow climbers and an investigation was launched.   Nearly a third of U.S. counties will be left with just one insurance option next year on the ObamaCare exchanges, according to a new analysis fueling waings about the impact of the insurance company exodus from markets across the country.  The Kaiser Family Foundation study found residents in Pinal County, Ariz., are even at risk of having no insurance options on the exchanges, which provide subsidized plans.  Republicans seized on the report Monday to claim that the health care overhaul is not providing the choices promised by President Obama and others.   "The president repeatedly promised that his health care law would provide more choices, ‘bend the cost curve,’ and allow Americans to keep the plans they liked and could afford. He failed to live up to those promises, and families are paying the price," Sen. Nathan King) A North Carolina church reportedly is raising eyebrows after launching a weekly Alcoholics Anonymous-inspired 12-step program for racists. Trinity United Church of Christ in Concord holds the “Racists Anonymous” meetings on Wednesdays, Fox 46 Charlotte reported last week. Carol Stanley, who facilitates the meetings, told the station that no one is pointing fingers. “But we're becoming clearer and clearer on the unconscious racism that we all carry,” she said. “It's a way to address one's own racism as a spiritual practice and discipline.” The church says on Facebook that the Racists Anonymous meetings are organized around AA’s 12-steps of recovery. (Salem County Correctional Facility) A suburban Philadelphia couple were beaten to death by their own son in their New Jersey home, authorities said Saturday.  Edward Coles Jr., 58, and wife Rosemarie Coles, 55, of West Deptford, were found dead by another family member Friday moing. The couple's son, 28-year-old Ryan Coles, was arrested on murder and weapons charges. His bail was set at $1 million. The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said that the couple died from "blunt head trauma" and alleged that Ryan Coles had bludgeoned his parents "with his hands and an unknown object." Neighbors told local media outlets that police had been called to the couple's home before. WPVI reported that Ryan Coles struggled with mental illness, but had never been arrested before.  "He seemed a little detached, depressed," neighbor John Ferencsik told the station. (U.S. Air Force) A new review of surveillance video of a 2002 firefight between a US special ops team and Al Qaeda fighters in the mountains of Afghanistan that left seven Americans dead is now the focus of controversy—with the Air Force secretary pushing the Medal of Honor for one of their own killed during the battle. The controversy involves airman John Chapman, the radioman for a SEAL Team 6 reconnaissance unit involved in the firefight. The New York Times reported Saturday that the Air Force’s analysis of video taken by a drone during the action shows that after being left for dead Chapman fought alone bravely against Al Qaeda insurgents. The Air Force concluded Chapman killed two fighters with the terror group—one in hand-to-hand combat—after the SEAL unit had retreated down the mountain in the face of withering enemy gunfire, the paper reported.
