DOCUMENT DROP FBI files: Clinton claimed ignorance on classification

  •   Several dozen pages of documents released Friday from the FBI’s Hillary Clinton email probe show the former secretary of state repeatedly claimed to have little training or understanding about the classification process – despite leading the department that handled such information on a regular basis and having a security clearance.   The document dump also revealed the gaps that remain in the record. Not only were numerous sections – and entire pages – redacted, but the files showed the FBI could not obtain 13 Clinton mobile devices that may have been used to send emails from her personal email address, in addition to two iPads. And they showed Clinton claiming she could not recall numerous details. But perhaps most striking were Clinton’s repeated statements regarding her grasp of the classification process. In response to the release, GOP Chairman Reince Priebus said Clinton’s claims suggest she either is “incompetent” or “lied.”   CLICK TO READ THE D,document drop box, document drop-off locations, document drop box outdoor, document drop off location hyderabad, document drop sage crm, document drop list, document drop event, document drop down menu, document drop off, document dropbox ipad ...ادامه مطلب

  • HILLARY ENLISTS 'THE DREAMERS' Clinton recruiting undocumented kids to boost her immigrant voter support

  •   Hillary Clinton is enlisting undocumented “Dreamers” into a new voter registration drive aimed at signing up sympathetic voters with waings that Donald Trump’s immigration plans could result in their deportation – though the Dreamers themselves cannot legally vote.   Clinton's national voter registration program, called "Mi Sueño, Tu Voto/My Dream, Your Vote," was announced Sunday, on the four-year anniversary of the 2012 order that temporarily shielded from deportation some young immigrants brought to the country illegally as children. The 730,000 young people known as Dreamers are prohibited from voting. However, they remain a powerful political organizing force, and the Clinton campaign hopes to use them to convince Latino and other households to go to the polls for the Democratic nominee. Organizers will remind voters that a Trump presidency would end the Dreamer program, according to the campaign, which is already at risk after a June Supreme Court effectivel, ...ادامه مطلب

  • MISLEADING EDIT Couric takes blame for error in gun documentary

  •   Katie Couric has reversed course and taken responsibility for an edit that misrepresents the response of gun rights activists to a question she poses in a new documentary. The segment in "Under the Gun" shows nearly 10 seconds of silence after Couric asks the activists how felons or terrorists could be prevented from purchasing a gun without background checks. Audio of the exchange leaked last week reveals an almost immediate response to the question. Couric writes in a message on the film's website that she regrets not raising her initial conces about the segment "more vigorously." The documentary is currently unavailable to view on Epix who did not immediately retu FOX411's request for comment. Related Image Expand / Contract Director Stephanie Soechtig told The Washington Post last week that the pause was so viewers could consider the question. • DEBATE FIREWORKS Founding US document racist, La. pol contends

  •   The Declaration of Independence came under attack from an unlikely quarter—a state legislator. Louisiana lawmaker Barbara Norton (D-Shreveport), argued that America’s founding document was racist during debate on a bill requiring public school students in the state to recite the Declaration of Independence daily, Fox & Friends reported Saturday. “For the Declaration of Independence only Caucasians (were) free,” Norton, who is black, said Wednesday during the debate on the floor of the Louisiana House of Representatives. “And for you to bring a bill to require that our children will recite the Declaration of Independence I think it’s a little bit unfair.” Rep. Valarie Hodges (R-Denham Springs) shelved the bill before lawmakers could vote on the proposal, which she sponsored. The measure would have required public school students in fourth through sixth grade to recite a passage from the Declaration of Independence. Norton and Pat Smith (D-Baton Rouge) told Hodges that children shouldn’t have to recite words written at a time when slavery was prevalent, reading the document was used to bar blacks from voting at polling places and equality wasn’t extended to all people. “Back in 1776 our forefathers who wrote the Declaration of Independence, I don’t believe they had any idea or that they thought for a moment that America would be as diverse as it is today,” Norton told KTAL-TV. Hodges told the station Norton and the other critics of the bill were wrong. “They really just don’t get it and to me I really feel that it’s as important as Math and English and conjugating verbs,” she said, adding that it was important to educate children to become good citizens. She also told the station she was astonished and saddened “at the hatred that was expressed at the forefathers and this document” during the debate. • MEMOIR QUESTIONED Documents: 'Sniper' earned fewer medals than claimed

  •   HOUSTON –  Documents show the number of medals slain Navy Seal and "American Sniper" author Chris Kyle received for his military service is different from what he indicated in his best-selling memoir about his four tours of duty in Iraq. Navy documents show Kyle eaed one Silver Star and three Bronze Stars with valor, instead of the two Silver Stars and five Bronze Stars his book says he received. The documents were obtained by online magazine The Intercept through an open records request, and the Navy on Wednesday confirmed the contents of the documents to The Associated Press. The Silver Star is the third-highest military combat decoration. The Bronze Star is awarded to members of the Armed Forces for heroic or meritorious achievement or service in a combat zone. Lt. Jackie Pau, a Navy spokeswoman, told the AP that Kyle's military personnel file states he received one Silver Star and three Bronze Stars with valor. Kyle's discharge paperwork, known as a DD214 form, indicated that he had received two Silver Stars and at least five Bronze Stars, which is what he wrote in his book. "The Navy considers the individual Service member's official military personnel file and our central official awards records to be the authoritative sources for verifying entitlement to decorations and awards," Pau said in a written statement. "The form DD214 is generated locally at the command where the Service member is separated. Although the information on the DD214 should match the official records, the process involves people and inevitably some errors may occur. " Kyle, regarded as the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history, was fatally shot at a Texas shooting range in 2013. His book was also made into a hit movie. His widow, Taya Kyle, didn't immediately retu a phone call Wednesday seeking comment about the military documents. A spokeswoman for HarperCollins, which published Taya Kyle's 2015 book "American Wife," also didn't immediately retu a phone call or email. It isn't, ...ادامه مطلب

  • THE 9/11 TRUTH? CIA chief says secret documents full of wrong info

  •   CIA Director John Brennan said Sunday that 28 classified pages of a bipartisan commission's report on the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks contains "uncorroborated, unvetted information" that some could seize upon to claim Saudi Arabian involvement in the attacks. Brennan, speaking on NBC's "Meet The Press," said such claims would be "very, very inaccurate." The Obama administration may soon release at least part of the secret chapter, which some believe shows a Saudi connection to the Al Qaeda attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pa.  A groundswell to declassify the documents began last month, when former Florida Sen. Bob Graham told CBS' "60 Minutes" he believed the 19 hijackers "substantially" received support from officials in Saudi Arabia's govement and prominent members of society. "There are a lot of rocks out there that have been purposefully tamped down, that if were they tued over, would give us a more expansive view of the Saudi role," Graham said at the time. The 28 pages were withheld from the 838-page report on the orders of then-President George W. Bush, who said the release could divulge intelligence sources and methods. In mid-April, the White House told Graham that it would decide whether to declassify the material within 60 days. Brennan said Sunday that the pages were classified because "of conces about sensitive methods, investigative actions, and the investigation of 9/11 was still under way in 2002." Brennan added that he believed the pages contain "a combination of things that are accurate and inaccurate." He said the 9/11 Commission followed up on the preliminary information in the 28 pages and made "a very clear judgment" there was no evidence indicating "the Saudi govement as an institution or Saudi officials individually" financially backed Al Qaeda." • NEW FUEL FOR FIRE? Document dump sheds light on Clinton-Trump ties

  •   The release Tuesday by the National Archives of a fresh trove of documents detailing the Clinton administration's dealings with billionaire Donald Trump could become the latest fuel for flame-throwing in an already incendiary 2016 presidential race. The documents include: a signed copy of Trump's “The Art of the Deal,” delivered to a top aide to then-President Clinton; logs of Trump’s invitations to the Clinton White House; and an entry about a Trump Towers photo-op with the president.  The files come at a sensitive time in the Republican presidential race, and could be used by Trump’s top rival Texas Sen. Ted Cruz to paint the billionaire businessman as too closely tied to the Clinton family – as Hillary Clinton leads the 2016 primary race on the Democratic side. Trump previously has brushed off the criticism, saying he had contact with Bill and Hillary Clinton, and countless other powerful people, because as a businessman he had to get along with everybody. The newly released files shed light on that relationship. One document is a photocopy of his best-selling book, “The Art of the Deal,” sent to Bill Clinton aide Mark Middleton. An autographed page says “To Mark – Best Wishes,” and adds, “Your Mom Is The Best.” Another is a 1993 invitation to President Clinton, though not from Trump himself, to join a charity event in Atlantic City where Trump was slated to attend.   2016 Election Headquarters The latest headlines on the 2016 elections from the biggest name in politics. • MONEY MISCHIEF Leaked documents link Putin to offshore deals

  •   Russian President Vladimir Putin's office claimed Monday that the release of a vast trove of documents and data on offshore financial dealings of powerful people around the world is a deliberate attack on the Russian leader aimed at disrupting his country’s upcoming parliamentary elections. Reports by an inteational coalition of media outlets on an investigation with the Washington-based Inteational Consortium of Investigative Joualists unveiled a slew of details of offshore assets and services of politicians, businesses and celebrities, based on a cache of 11.5 million records. Among the countries with past or present political figures named in the reports are Iceland, Ukraine, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Argentina. The documents raise questions over the widespread use of such tactics to avoid taxes and skirt financial oversight. Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that the Russian president was the "main target" of the investigation, which he suggested was the result of "Putinophobia" and aimed at smearing the country in a parliamentary election year. The documents alleged that Putin's friends, including a leading cellist, were engaged in an offshore scheme. "I don't consider it possible to go into the details" of allegations that Putin's friends ran an offshore scheme, Peskov told reporters, "mainly because there is nothing concrete and nothing new about Putin, and a lack of details." He added that Sergei Rodulgin, the St. Petersburg-based cellist allegedly involved in the offshore schemes, was a friend of Putin's but that the president "has very many friends." Peskov, who had last week foreshadowed the disclosure of the documents by waing of an upcoming "information attack" on Putin, said Monday he expected more reports to follow. In Russia, where the investigation was published by independent newspaper Novaya Gazeta, the scandal faced an effective media blackout. Russian television on Monday moing made no mention of it. In Australia, , ...ادامه مطلب
